Our Recent Accomplishments
Arizona Beta was just awarded the Chapter Achievement Award at the SAE National Convention in Des Moines, IA in July, 2021. The Chapter is clearly the top fraternity at ASU and has 140 members with 35 new initiates as of September, 2021. Our past Eminent Archon, Evan Sterling, was awarded the $2,500 National Scholarship as well as a $2,500 scholarship from the SAE Phoenix Alumni, Inc. Further, Evan was one of eight recipients of the Eminent Archon of the Year in 2020-21.
Our Founding
The Arizona Beta Chapter was founded on December 9, 1961 on the campus of Arizona State University. Starting as the "Phi Alpha Colony" it became the 141st chapter of SAE. Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity was founded in 1856 at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL and is headquartered in Evanston, Illinois. Today, there are over 330,000 alumni from 225 SAE chapters nationwide, making it the largest national social fraternity.
